• The harbourage was physically disturbed, for example by moving a box or appliance.
• Cleaning or renovation work exposed a hiding spot.
• A recent pest treatment (yours or a neighbouring unit's) pushed insects out.
• The insect was simply displaced from its usual location.
• Food or water availability changed, prompting it to search elsewhere.

A more established, visible infestation generally means greater contamination risk around food prep surfaces, cabinets, and appliances, plus higher exposure to droppings, shed skins, and cockroach allergens. Cockroach droppings, saliva, body fragments, and shed skins contain proteins that can trigger allergic reactions and worsen asthma, particularly in children. We expect roughly one year of effectiveness from the gel, qualified by the specific product used and site conditions.
4. Targeted pesticide dust. Dust goes into the areas the other three methods can't fully reach: appliance voids, cracks, crevices, wall voids, and appropriate electrical or outlet areas where it's safe and permitted.
